ive recently had xrays on hand and feet feet show some damage but not hands yet my finger keeps getting stuck imake a fist and fingers stuck and i have to ease it into place then it sort of clicks in place anyone else hadthis and what did you do about it

Hi Lorraine,
It's probably the tendon that's sticking , it wouldn't show up on X-ray. Your rheumy doc might give you a steroid injection into the tendon, that usually does the trick. See your GP if you don't have a rheumy appointment soon.

I have this a lot in both index fingers, Lorraine. I have been putting off joint injections but have been told to go prepared for them at my next rheummy appointment next month. As Doreen says, the tendons stick because of inflammation.

Hi I had this on 5 of my fingers over time and it was diagnosed as Trigger Finger, I had each one operated on and all were successful. YES I'VE CHANGED, PAIN DOES THAT TO PEOPLE.

Hi Lorraine,
Mine do this as well. I had a steroid injected into the worse one a few weeks ago and it took away the pain and stopped it sticking. It still clicks but I can tolerate that. Your GP will do it for you.
